In rural areas joint family system is still in existence.Although,in urban ares this system has taken the shape of nuclear family. The cultural heritage of orissa can be greatly described by focusing on the awesome handicraft items and amazing folk performances.
Another major part of the cultural heritage of orissa is its delicious cuisine. One can find a great variety of delicious foods.Pokhal bhat is one of the famous dish in orissa.Pokhal bhat is a lightly fermented rice-based dish consumed mainly during summer days.

Puri Rath Yatra is one of the most famous religious event in orissa.
Rath Yatra or Chariot festival, one of the much-awaited Hindu festivals, is celebrated every year on the 2nd day of Shukla Paksha (waxing cycle of moon) in the month of Asadh, the 3rd month according to the lunar calendar of India. The foremost epicenter for this festival is the Jagannath Puri temple, one of the four major Hindu shrines, which is situated in the state of Orissa. Rath Yatra Puri has always been popular among tourists due to its religious connotation. They visit Puri every year and take part in the celebrations with full enthusiasm.

The festival honors the Lord Jagannath’s visit along with his siblings to the temple of Queen Gundicha. The caravan of Lord Jagannath, on the way, stops at their maternal aunt’s place – mausima temple – to take the meal of sweet pan cakes, Jagannath’s favorite dish as said. Crippled education system and recruitment policy in india

Today is the age of innovation and specialisation. And with this fast moving techno-age, the Indian educational system seems to go nowhere. Though we are aware about the progressive minds of Indian students all over the world, we tend to overlook the fact that most of them find abode abroad in USA or Australia. Let us focus on some stark realities.
Indian education is full of innumerable pages of obsolete, outdated theory with no innovation or any practical workIndian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh recently said that India's education system is in a serious crisis, India's economic growth poses a threat.
Why is India still a developing country and what is stopping it from being a developed country? This particular question strikes me every time when I think of something about India’s education system. I see India’s education system as a stumbling block towards its objectives of achieving inclusive growth.
Let me focus on some of the facts that prove that we only speak about the innovation never really think of what it actually is.Till day we follow the concept "jack of all trades but master of none".This is the reality of our crippled education system and same reflects in our recruitment policies.I want to focus on one major problem out of various defects that is existing in our education system.
There is lack of uniform education system in india.Education policy and marking scheme varies from state to state but our recruiters never think about this as they are highly innovative. They simply say why should we bother about your state board as if they have came from the moon. Our central government dont have as much time to interfere in this matter or else  this is not of great concern for them.
Since each and every state have their separate education policy and marking scheme then how can one imagine of a uniform recruitment policy for all.For example CBSE or ICSE students secure more than 95% in their exams or their average marks is even more than the highest marks secured by the state board students.Does this mean state board students are not as much intelligent and knowledgeable as CBSE or ICSE board students are.Is there any solution for this  problem?Yes,there is a nice solution we all know that. There should be percentile policy rather than percentage or else should be a uniform education system.
I want to focus on the innovative ideas of our top notch companies. Our esteemed recruiters who say themselves or assume themselves highly innovative. They never focus on current career of student. They think that four years of engineering, three years of mca and bla bla is not sufficient to judge a student. They need more than 80% in 10th and 12th and maximum 2 backlogs in engineering is allowed. These are our highly respected and highly innovative leaders of the society. This reflect the future our nation. Its not possible for a majority of population to go for schooling in convent schools.
Why this?why even meritorious students who deserve the best get nothing due to this crippled education system and recruit policy.Who is responsible for this.A student who doesn't know much is doing a good job and one who deserves is the victim of our education system and recruitment policy. This should certainly change else we will remain in the stage of developing forever. Our dream to be a developed nation will remain as a dream forever.

Turbulence of Jealousy

I am an ordinary man, troubled and disturbed by the extent of vilification against someone who has been doing something for the state and for the people of the society.  Thousands like me could have reacted much earlier but we all preferred to remain silent.  But when our silence was taken for granted we decided to call a spade a spade.  My voice represents thousands of others who consider, a section of jealous individuals to be suffering from an incurable disease.  It is not me but great philosopher Socrates said, “Envy is the ulcer of the soul”, so did famous poet John Dryden say, ‘Jealousy is the jaundice of the soul’.  Having said this, I would put forward some facts for your consideration and I would like to appeal to pass on this message to everyone you know.

Should I say it the ‘Tribulation of a jealous mind’ or should it be ‘Turbulence of Jealousy’.  In whichever way it is said, it would mean the same.  Before elaborating my point, I would rather ask something.

Have you ever come across a boy born in a non-descript village amidst abject poverty, waiting for days to have a meal just to fill his empty stomach.  You must have come across thousands but have you ever heard that the  same village boy losing his father at the age of 4, struggling to find his own space in the society and then working relentlessly to create space for the children of lesser gods.

You must have heard rags to riches stories about people but have you found a man who had nothing in hand but dared to set up an institute with just a paltry amount of Rs. 5000 and to borrow almost 500 crores of Rupees in the process of making the institute one of the finest multi-disciplinary Universities of the world.  Is it not hard to believe that this University because of its excellence and world class infrastructure could be chosen to host the 99th Indian Science Congress in January 2012, which it could accomplish with aplomb?

Have you ever met a person who opted for opening an institution for the poorest of the poor tribal children without any financial backing.  Anybody after establishing a successful University would definitely not opt for feeding fifteen thousand indigenous (tribal) children free, to pursue education from KG to PG absolutely free.

Unbelievable but true that such a person still exists amongst us.  He has never said no to anybody who came to him for any help.  It is perhaps his wrong doings that he has been trying to empower the poor tribals through education and providing a sustainable livelihood.  The person who has been living in a two-room rented premise with only some plastic chairs as his belongings can be no other than Achyuta Samanta who of-late, has become an eyesore of some unscrupulous jealous individuals.  It is definitely the Turbulence of Jealously, for, Rather than working hard, these people get negative. Is it not true that great spirits have often encountered violent opposition from mediocre?

It is the shameful display of Turbulence of Jealousy that people envy of Samanta does not even think that by their action they are causing irreparable damage to the state.  Going to the extent of influencing the PMO to cancel Prime Minister’s visit to KIIT to inaugurate the 99th Indian Science Congress and going to the extent of filing a PIL to scuttle the growth of KIIT and preventing the 15000 hapless tribal children to dream for their future, show how deep they are inside the mud of jealousy.

It is indeed very pathetic that only one microscopic group of people comprising of the promoters of six to seven Professional Colleges, four to five journalists who believe in yellow journalism and character assassination, one or two dirty politician who believe in sacrificing ethics for some immediate games, forming an unholy nexus have been trying to malign KIIT & KISS, which have come up so well despite their negative propaganda.

The unbelievable speed through which this nexus is working can put any locomotive far behind. The rise of KIIT and KISS could not be accepted by this nexus and ever since the 99th Indian Science congress was declared to be held in KIIT, this group tried its best to stall it. At that point of time, they were moving in a moderate speed which got accelerated from the month of September 2011. Like the speed of a high speed locomotive this unholy nexus driven by the turbulence of jealousy stepped up their vilification at a speed of 200Kms per hour to stall the visit of the Hon’ble Prime Minister to KIIT to inaugurate the 99th Indian Science Congress on 3rd January, 2012. Being unsuccessful, this group swept by the tempest of jealousy has been approaching every one, knocking every door even with more speed, of say 300 Kms with the sole objective of defaming Achyuta Samanta by thus destroying KIIT & KISS.

It is, however, strange that despite all their attempts, these handful of people carried away by Turbulence of Jealousy have not been able to convince anyone as to what has been the fault of Achyuta Samanta and what wrong did he do in establishing world class institution in a state like Odisha. These institutions are now pride of the State and the World. Is it the fault of Samanta that he has been appreciated and honoured by the people all over the world? If at all there is any fault with the founder of KIIT & KISS, character assassination and causing damage to the institution, jeopardizing the future of children are not the way to deal with.

It is an accepted fact that successful people face jealousy.  ‘Pythagoras was misunderstood and Socrates and Jesus and Luther and Copernicus and Galileo and Newton and every pure and wise spirit that ever took pain to be great are to be misunderstood’.   But each time a man stands up for an ideal or acts to improve the lot of others or strikes out against social injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope despite the combined forces of jealousy and those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest wall of suspicion, arrogance created by Tribulation of Jealous minds.  The heat makes the gold shine and KIIT, KISS & Samanta will shine with all the heat created by the foes around.

I Love u till i do not have a better option...

I love u .....till i do not have a better option. This is the real scenario of today's fashionable society. How much fashionable we are.We have totally changed the definition of love. Now a days having boyfrnd/girlfrnd is just a fashion.Every one wants to have a girlfrnd/boyfrnd no matter whether he/she love each other or not.Its really a mark of glory for our youngsters to have a count of counter partner.I have seen many of my friends desperately  searching girl friends even though they have already.Even a missed call from an unknown mobile number make them uncomfortable and slowly n slowly they fall in love as they show to others. The only argument they have is her sound is soooo sweet she is very innocent. But what happens at the end.Leave it yaar she is not sexy. They even refuse to accept the call of the same sweet n cute girl.
I have seen many of my friends telling that i am not so handsome, i am incomplete as i dont have any girl friend where as mohan/sohan has so many girl friends. Why one who dont have girl friend feel him self incomplete and thinks that he has lost half of his life. Why today's many guys follow the concept of "some thing is better than nothing".
I have seen many sweet pairs of my college who suppose to live together as if they are soul mate but at the next morning what is going to happen between them only god knows.Living together having lots of fun and suddenly a breakup due to some misunderstanding as they state. Is just a misunderstanding is the real cause of such breakups or any thing else.I think i love u till i find someone better. This is the concept of todays love stories which most of the youngsters are following.
Why dont one wait for the one who is present here around only for him/her.Why we dont have faith on god that he has made someone very sweet and very special for everyone. Why even a small misunderstanding breaks the relationship of so many years.Wait please wait someone very special is waiting for you.
Dont follow the concept of something is better than nothing even knowing that everything is there only for you.

Indian Politics

We always abuse our politicians. Why is it so?Now its time to think positively in this field. Our parents want us to be a doctor,an engineer or any any executive body. They never want to us to be a good politician. The simple argument is politics is an abuse. If intellectuals will not move to this field is it ever possible to change the mentality.Today IITs,IIMs are top notch institutes because of their mental set up that we are the best.Because of the nice environment the have created. In the same fashion now its time to make indian politics a glorious platform for the youths.Let parents and guardians feel that this is the only field which determines the future of the nation. One should feel proud to be a politician.Indian politics should never be a family play ground rather this should be a highly prestigious ground.Only youths energetic youths can change the feeling and mind setup of our citizens by doing some appreciable activities.
